The surgery is an accredited ‘NHS Veteran Friendly GP Practice’.

A veteran is anyone who has served for at least one day in the armed forces. This is not only someone who has fought in the world wars but also younger veterans who have served their country, for example in Bosnia, Iran and Afghanistan.

This means that as part of the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant, we have a dedicated clinician who has knowledge of military related health conditions and veteran specific health services.

This is important in helping ex-forces patients to get the best care and treatment.
