Triage Arrangements from 15th December

We are re-setting our triage/duty system from 15th December so that priority is given to genuinely urgent medical problems.

For emergency problems when no more urgent appointments are available, the Emergency Triage/Duty team will assess your problem and if they agree it is urgent they will give you advice over the phone. If needed, a Duty clinician will arrange to see you the same day. If you are put on the Emergency Triage list, please be available to take a phone call from the time you phoned in until 6.30pm that evening. A Duty clinician will only try to phone you back twice. There will be no facility to request that a certain member of the Duty team phones you and no facility to request a call back at a certain time of day.

When the emergency triage team deem a request not to be urgent they will let Reception know and they will be in touch to advise you.
